Guests enter our on-site mobile studio area and a short video is filmed. While filming the video, guests may dance, wave, blow kisses or make up skits. Our staff will give you an idea of skits to be performed or they can just be spontaneous.
OUR STUDIO SET UP:
This is our ideal layout. But we are flexible and have even had the printer and cutting station in another room because of space constraints. We were recently set up in a hallway.
The guest is positioned in front to the camera
Our director helps the guests decide on what to do for a video by making suggestions. They may direct them or even dance along with the guests. Our directors are well trained and know how to make the video the most fun for the guests.
We provide a props and signs for use during the video. If your event has a special theme. If possible, we provide props to match the theme.
- How long does it take to film a video?
It is a 6 second video.
As many as can fit in the display (2 to 4 is a good number).
- How will the guests know if they like the video clip?
They are able to instantly review it before it is printed. It can immediately be reshot until they are happy with the result.
- What do you charge the guests for the books?
Nothing!!! The cost of producing the books onsite is included in the event charge.
Generally a 10' x 10' area (though that can vary depending on the venue - we like to have 15' x 15') and a standard wall outlet. Two 6 foot tables are to be provided and skirted by the event planner to match the rest of the party.
We like the have 2 each dedicated 20 amp circuits. If we do not have sufficient power the quality of your books may be affected.
- How will people know what event the KC FLIPBOOK was made for?
By the use of product placement, personalized covers, or event sponsor covers. Custom covers must be planned and approved at least 3 weeks in advance of the event. We can also insert a standard or individual custom message that will scroll across the bottom of the book.
Yes. They make great engagement announcements, save the date cards, thank you cards and promotional handouts. We can pre-make flipbooks by coming to your location to take a short video, then process the order in our studio. The minimum order is 50. Availability is limited by our schedule. Contact us to discuss your needs. Plan ahead.
- How long does it take to produce a book on site?
About 2 minutes per book. More than one book of each video may be made.
- How many KC FLIPBOOKS can you make in an hour?
We can film about 40 to 45 videos with one set up. It depends on how many re-shoots are done. We normally print 60 to 80 books in an hour.
- Do you do outdoor events?
Yes, but they are more difficult. Generally, the purchaser must provide shelter from the elements, whether it be gusts of wind, potential rain or extreme sunlight. The site conditions and a site survey must be done well in advance of an event. Extra charges will apply. Contact us to discuss the specifics. The shelter must be completely water tight. The are almost always power problems at an outdoor event. So we normally suggest the use of a generator to make sure there is sufficient power. There is an extra charge for a generator.
- Do you travel outside the Kansas City and Houston area for an event? We have locations nationwide. Ask about your area.
Yes. We concentrate on those areas but we travel nationwide. Contact us to discuss your event, location and logistics. Travel to certain foreign locations may be restricted.
